Position Overview

Does working on an experienced team of software and hardware engineers, like yourself, to define and build innovative storage products sound like fun? This is your opportunity to make a big impact as a leader of an experienced development organization working on exciting new storage products. We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineering Leader to lead the all up hardware effort from initial design to manufacturing. You will be responsible for solving many unique challenges at the forefront of technology and helping to deliver rock-solid products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a leading world class hardware development organization.
  • Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from product definition, specification, and design validation through field trials and production.
  • Work closely with software and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead end to end hardware design, validation, certification, and manufacturing of an Enterprise Storage Product.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of technical management experience, with at least 5 years of third-level management or Senior Director experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on hardware development experience with ability and desire to learn new technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of both component level and end-to-end system level hardware design and integration.
  • Solid understanding and experience managing low level software development teams including embedded, kernel, DIAG’s, and firmware.
  • Experience with all aspects of supplier management: driving roadmap reviews, architectural reviews, escalations with difficult debugs, negotiations with support contracts, and forging strong relationships with partner Chip companies.
  • Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire lifecycle, delivering products to market on schedule with our manufacturing and software partner organizations.
  • Experience delivering Enterprise grade Server, Storage and Networking Systems.
  • Experience delivering products with ASIC or complex FPGAs and knowledge of the design, verification and validation development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of mechanical product development methodologies and tooling.
  • Understanding of product compliance. ( EMC, Safety, etc  )
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid knowledge of end-to-end quality best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Patient, energetic, and calm under pressure.

Pay Range

USD $276,000.00 - USD $416,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Transparency Statement

The annual base salary range is: $276,000-$416,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
