Position Overview

The Role

At Pure Storage, customer success is a top priority, as evidenced by our 80+ NPS. We are privileged to have 12,500+ delighted customers around the world and are passionate about telling their stories and making their powerful voices heard. We’re looking for a seasoned executive to take our dynamic customer marketing and executive engagement program to the next level. 

 

Pure is seeking a Senior Director of Customer Marketing with a passion for building unique customer experiences and authentic communities, plus a love of customer storytelling. to build a community of fanatic brand advocates. These customer advocates will share their stories, speak on Pure’s behalf, and provide valuable feedback in shaping our company, product and marketing strategies.

 

You will build an enterprise-class customer marketing program, drive engagement with senior IT and C-level personas in line with our enterprise strategy and create a shared vision and consistency across sales, our product business groups and marketing. Act as a liaison between customers and Pure to drive our brand awareness, increase sales through references, and build customer advocates.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Create an integrated strategy to drive customer engagement and advocacy across our Commercial and Enterprise customers, from the infrastructure owner to VP of IT to C-level persona
  • Build new ways to create and activate Pure advocates through both digital and in-person events including customer advisory boards,  technical advisory councils, and executive engagement
  • Build a world class Enterprise customer advisory board serving as the key contact for members, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive participation and advocacy
  • Drive the maturity of internal and external processes to improve team efficiency and unlock a seamless customer experience
  • Programmatically uncover and tell our customer’s stories about how they are transforming their operations
  • Develop and execute new programs and campaigns for  Brand, Customer Success and campaign teams to meet the evolving needs of the business
  • Own end-to-end processes for acquiring, developing, promoting and rewarding advocates and reference customers internally and externally
  • Ensure the team supports the sales cycle and accelerates deal closure
  • Effectively lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and feedback to foster professional growth and successEstablish key performance indicators to determine content and program performance, continually evaluating and improving

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Consistent record of defining, launching, and driving new cross-functional customer engagement programs  independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building and shaping content and experiences for customer advisory boards and customer roundtables
  • Experience preparing and enabling customers to speak at conference
  • Mastery of ‘no fluff’ customer storytelling
  • Strong relationship building skills to partner effectively with Sales, Customer Success and other key internal stakeholders
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize amidst many moving pieces
  • Executive presence, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance analysis
  • Ability to travel for work ~10% of the time

Pay Range

USD $242,000.00 - USD $387,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Transparency Statement

The annual base salary range is: $242,000 - $315,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
