We are in search of an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, skilled in multiple BI tools, concepts, and processes to manage the life cycle of our analytics dashboards and standard reporting. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, BI Solution Development to support the System Engineer global sales function.

***This is a full time position and the candidate is expected to report 3 days at minimum into Pure Storage’s Chicago or Santa Clara, CA office.***

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop and implement BI solutions using Snowflake as the data warehouse platform.

• Create engaging and interactive business insight dashboards in Tableau, using best practices related to data visualization techniques, focusing on enhancing the user experience for your stakeholders.

• Communicate with multiple stakeholders to produce and maintain comprehensive and scalable datasets, processes, and documentation.

• Business requirement gathering.

• Functional specification write-ups.

• Prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation.

Technical Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in Data Engineering of highly scalable data platforms/ecosystems.

• 5+ years experience in building and managing data platforms/ecosystems.

• 3+ years experience in Snowflake with knowledge in distributed computing preferred.

• Demonstrated innate passion for Data Engineering and data architecture pertaining to Analytics.

• Knowledge of Cloud data solutions, data engineering, data platforms and analytics and modern ways of automating data ingesting using cloud-based and on-premise technologies.

• Hands-on experience in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud 

• Proficiency in SQL and database table design – able to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets.

• Experience in a role performing data warehouse and analytics solution design and development using a variety of techniques.

• Understanding of data architecture design, data modeling, and physical database design and tuning.

• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, and/or Power BI.

• Work with data warehouse architects, data scientists, and data collection application engineers. 

• Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed.

• Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.

• Creating and maintaining business requirements and other technical documentation.

• Exposure to interfacing systems like SFDC, Anaplan, Callidus etc. 

• Knowledge of data architecture concepts such as data warehouse, data lake, data mesh etc.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
