The Infrastructure Shared Services (ISS) Team is responsible for all of Pure Storage's engineering infrastructure, development environment and production services.  We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer with a specialization in infrastructure automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about streamlining data center operations through the implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) and self-service delivery mechanisms. This role requires a strong background in DevOps principles, agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using IaC principles to manage and provision data center resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and develop automated solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code deployment and configuration management.
• Implement self-service portals or APIs to enable teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources autonomously.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in all infrastructure automation processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevOps, data center engineering, and infrastructure automation.

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience developing software and working in infrastructure automation.
• Experienced with developing APIs and automating data center infrastructure.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on infrastructure automation.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, virtualization technologies, and storage systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications…

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.

• Knowledge of infrastructure security principles and tools (e.g., TLS, Active Directory Integration, or Hashicorp Vault).

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.

• Basic understanding of Pure Storage technologies is a plus.
