Pure Storage Acquired Portworx in October 2020, Creating the Industry's Most Complete Kubernetes Data Services Platform for Cloud Native Applications. This acquisition represents Pure’s largest to date and our deeper expansion into the fast-growing market for multi-cloud data services to support Kubernetes and containers.

Position Overview

The growing Professional Services team is seeking an experienced manager. In this role, you will lead, build, and manage members of our services team who work on complex and challenging issues from our customers and partners. You will recruit, motivate, and mentor team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience and project deployment. 

The successful candidate will think strategically about business problems, products, processes, and technical challenges and connect technology with measurable business value for customers and the internal organization. Most importantly, working as a team with your peers to consistently improve team performance!

Responsibilities

  • Manage a global professional services team in accordance with established delivery standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and cultivate collaborative relationships with regional sales leadership, supporting pipeline development activities including Statement of Work development, service sales overviews, and opportunity reviews to ensure success.
  • Partner with CX leadership to identify opportunities for practice development and improved customer experience during the onboarding phase of the customer journey.  
  • Forecast and monitor team utilization, ensuring key business and financial metrics are achieved.
  • Manage partner service development and onboarding to support global delivery model   
  • Provide continuous feedback to direct reports through regular coaching, employee development, and annual performance reviews within the latitude of established company policies.
  • Lead, support, and implement professional services initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and demonstrated experience in a Professional Services organization, with a track record of success in recruiting and developing a high performing team in a global environment.
  • Strategic knowledge of the sales process and creative business acumen.
  • Proven ability to resolve customer escalations, complaints, and issues utilizing appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Exceptional customer presence and presentation skills, comfortable in talking with C-Level executives.
  • Experience in negotiation, issue identification, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience in some or all of the technology pillars that enable customers to leverage Pure’s Modern Data Experience - Data Management/Protection/Migration, Analytics/AI/ML, Business Applications, and MultiCloud.
  • Working knowledge of customer expectations across Enterprise and Global accounts.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%; current passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Prior experience leading a professional services team in a SaaS organization desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in customer-facing, Professional Services, or equivalent organization.
  • At least 3+years of team management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.

USD $158,000.00 - USD $238,000.00 /Yr.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
